Old new additions - Immortal Quest (Beta 1.3)


I forgot to post these changes.

  • Added Monster Log (like pokedex) keeps track of how many enemies you kill.
  • First implementation of quest system. (There's only 5 at the moment, but later there will be hundreds and multiple types) Currently the only quests are kill count quests.
  • Added over 15 new enemies
  • Added World artwork to 18 new locations in the game.
  • Added World Map
  • Added several new music tracks that play at different places in the game! Each area has a Musical Key assigned to it and songs progress in the circle of 5ths as you progress in the game.
  • Balanced difficulty in different locations in the game.
  • Various Bug Fixes

UPDATE BETA 1.2  (05/15/2022) 

  • Server set up. Your game will now connect to my server, there are no online functions other than simply connecting, so I can see when someone plays my game. This will be expanded to add an account system, leaderboards, and eventually multiplayer capability.
  • Double XP for 2 hours per real time day you can use double xp to speed up your progression.
  • Temporarily removed enemy crystals, which cause the game to crash, you can still spawn them using the new developer console.
  • New spawn table system for each of the different 18 areas. There are also new enemies to battle. Orcs, Gremlins, Pigmen, Treelings, Dark Elves.
  • Difficulty curve adjustment
  • Fill option in crafting can now be adjusted to select how many of a material you want to fill with.
  • Additional Damage Balancing
  • Developer Console. Press tab to open and use cheats, this feature will be removed from the final game and will only be accessible to me, and moderators if that becomes a thing. The functions you can use right now are: 
    • create_obj "object name"
    • give_xp "amount"
    • OBJECT NAMES: dragon, tree, home_crystal, enemy_crystal, woodwall, stonewall, metalwall, steelwall, ironwall, goldwall, diamondwall, platinumwall, crystalwall, darkcrystalwall, godmatter, bronze_item, silver_item, gold_item, platinum_item, obj_craftingbench, obj_cloudblock, obj_cloudblockmoving, Shopkeeper, woodenladder, woodendoor.

UPDATE BETA 1.1  (04/4/2022) 

  • Added 5,324 Unique Armor Items to the game. 
  • Now there are 10,648 different items you can craft!
  • Increased map size 19 times by adding 18 New Areas to visit. The world is now round and wraps if you go all the way around.
  • Difficulty scales up the further away you travel from the start.

  • Enemies drop armor and can pick it up

UPDATE BETA 1.01  (02/16/2022) 

  • Now Level up your weapons! They go up in price when you level them.
  • Displays weapon info in menu.
  • various bug fixes. Including many from the known bugs list from the beta 1.0.
  • Saves should carry over from the previous version.

UPDATE BETA 1.0 (PRE-RELEASE) (02/10/2022) 

  • Vastly expanded the Shop
  • Shop sells 3 random weapons based on your Level
  • Shop sells 3 Material types that increase in rarity with your Level
  • Functioning Economy
  • Added Bartering Skill (Level 100 CAP) Viewable from the Shop Interface
  • Added 5,324 Unique Weapons to the game. (33 levels of power) 
  • New Crafting System!
  • Added Crafting Skill (Level 100 CAP) Viewable from the Crafting Interface
  • Begin by only being able to use 3 Materials to craft Items. By level 100 You can use 30 of a material in each weapon, which greatly increases your chances of creating the desired item.
  • Temporarily removed armor until it is added to the Crafting system and is properly fleshed out.
  • Weapons now scale damage and attack speed based on how rare it is.
  • Redesigned Enemies and NPC appearance
  • Added 8 New Materials to the game for crafting weapons. Currently, they are only obtainable from the shop as you progress.
  • Enemies spawn with random weapons, with rarity based on how far you are in the game.
  • Player will now stay near Purple Water in "Auto-Mode" if its around, this keeps the player from wandering to a safe zone.
  • Added Platinum as a currency, this is rarer than Gold
  • Made currencies roll over to the next one at 1,000 instead of 100. This makes it more comprehensible how much total wealth you have.

  • Joystick fixes on iOS and Android

KNOWN BUGS

  • Unable to pick up dropped enemy weapons
  • Selling items may draw overlapping currencies under "YOU HAVE" in the Shop
  • Companions and possessed enemies' hand is white.
  • Iron and Steel are barely distinguishable as a block.
  • Acquired companions are buggy and may die permanently 
  • pressing escape with the shop or crafting interface open opens the menu.

UPDATE ALPHA 4.2 (11/28/2021) All Characters now flash Red when Damaged

  • Minor damage balancing
  • Size of enemy and player crystal zones' now better reflects how the crystal's health. It Increases and decreases in size as if it was a 3D sphere with volume equal to Health. 
  • Hot Bar is now Grey so you can identify what items you have.
  • Fire is now more deadly
  • Fire is spread by torches now
  • Smoother Lighting
  • Removed excess effects
  • Fixed major lag-spike bug involving magic
  • Changed the default character's design
  • Thicker XP Bar

UPDATE ALPHA 4.1 (11/8/2021) 

  • Damage balancing
  • Improved difficulty curve
  • New NPC "Frank" - find him and he will join your side
  • Possession ability now only keeps enemy loyalty until they die! This adds a cool dynamic to the game. This ability now recharges for 120 seconds at low levels and speeds up at higher levels, as is with most abilities.
  • Made characters not get stuck in place.
  • Made companions not lose their appearance when respawned.
  • Made more enemies spawn the bigger your party size is!
