Welcome to the latest blog post regarding my solo game project "Crystal Quest."

It has been a while since I have released any major features. This update marks the beginning of me getting back into the development of this game. I added one of the most important features I could add (Saving/Loading) and I am close to being done with the core mechanics and features.

After the next couple of Updates the framework will all be in place and then the rest of my time spent will be designing the details, creating hundreds of enemies, new weapons, powers, and implementing quests and puzzles - You know, everything that happens after the engine is complete.

At the moment it is just a test stage, where you spawn in and see how long you can survive the onslaught. Yet in it's current state, it still offers 2+ hours of enjoyment, with no cap really. You could play for weeks and reach level 1000 maybe. Who knows, I haven't played it for very long, so I'll leave it to ya'll. See how far you can get! Now that you can save and load your game, you can work on your progress, stop, and come back to it later! As well as revert to a save point if you die! 

I am most interested in feedback regarding the difficulty curve and balance between the 3 weapon styles. Is it too easy in the beginning? is it too hard on Day 69? I want to know your thoughts.

You can probably defeat the dragon at Player level 20, and If you do, let me know how that goes as well. The dragon is my first boss and will be one of around 15 bosses I have planned. So I want to get him right and behaving like a dragon should.

*To spawn the dragon, find the U shaped monolith looking thing on either side of the map and put your crystal in-between it. Be sure to remove it after you spawn him, because it will keep spawning him over and over again. This is good though if you are high level, and can easily take out the first orange dragon.
