ALPHA 0.6.1 - "WINTER'S HOT"

FEBRUARY 5th, 2024 

With the debut of The Kanye Clone's debut music video, we celebrate a monumental achievement in technology, music innovation, and celebrity cloning. This masterpiece just so happens to also be crafted by the creator of 'Yean Cat' and the writer of this development log.

If you don't know what Yean Cat, let me explain:

"Ye-an Cat" - was the result of a meme created on a dead YouTube Channel called "AI MASHUP" (It was killed by Universal Music Group.) When they copyright struck our AI Music YouTube Channel for the 3rd time it all went poof, and I decided to take my Nyan Cat + Kanye West Meme as far as I could to my creative abilities.. to the absolute limit.

And I'm realizing there really... "is no limit to my ambition."

FEATURES

• Added Intro Scene/Music Video that plays only once. If you skip it you will miss the seamless transition into the game and you will go to the menu screen
• LEADERBOARD SYSTEM! This is the biggest part of this update. You can now compare your scores across all other players of the game on both Mac and Windows. Scores are listed in order of your combined character's levels. This system will get many updates in the feature, with plans to add pvp, and co-op; one step at a time of course.

• Player Profiles is something that comes naturally with the implementation of leaderboards. You will now be prompted to choose a name for your game save file to display on the leaderboards and in your stats page.
• STATISTICS is now openable from the main menu and shows a few important statistics. View your entry on the leaderboard for a few more statistics (this will be expanded on in the future)
• ACHIEVEMENTS is now openable (bottom right trophy in main menu) and currently only displays the leaderboard.
• Bosses now have theme music that plays when you encounter them.
• The camera zooms in on a boss when you encounter one.
• Save files now keep track of the earliest version you played the game on. You will be rewarded in the future for your legacy status. It should work for all versions of the game. (Don't expect to find a way to gain legacy status in the future, I will make sure it is only possible to gain legacy status of the most recent version that is out.)

BUG FIXES

• fixed certain sounds not being effected by sound settings
• made enemies, money, and xp disappear when off screen for a while to reduce lag
• now only flying enemies will spawn in space
• green upward boosts no longer disappear in the middle of the screen
• Fixed sunglasses on characters faces
• fixed bug where all ground enemies would flash the player.

TWEAKS

• "Fantasy" weapon is drawn better
• Fire is draw better
• "Holy Water" Weapon has less splash
• "Nerd Blaster" Weapon has less bullets and a nerfed upgrade table
• Increased enemy spawn rate and cap based on game time.
• Volume balancing

NEW BUGS

• The music doesn't switch for each character in the main menu.
• Sometimes weapons/passives won't show up in the chooser menu when leveling up.
• The Leaderboard is a little buggy, sometimes showing duplicate entries on the leaderboard, I imagine this system could crash your game when the leaderboard gets full. I plan to address this before it becomes an issue in future versions.

With Ye's announcement of his 100% solidified release date timeline for "Vulture's," I've decided to align my goals with his, at least in timing. Here is a list of features I plan to add each day until February 9th. By then I'll have a Beta timeline for you and hopefully most of these features implemented:

• YE DROPS VULTURES VOL 1!
• Expect some sort of "Vultures" related update along with general tweaks and fixes.
• First surprise reward for pre-alpha legacy players.
